TappedIn DC LAUNCHES NEW ERA OF NETWORKING
New Event Series to Team Online and Interpersonal Social Networking Methods
WASHINGTON, DC – Long, long ago, people met other people by...meeting other people, either at events or through the course of everyday life. Over the years, social networking has become an Internet staple, with Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn as the primary tools. TappedIn DC looks to merge the best elements of “new school” online networking with the “old school” traditional methods of meeting new people.
TappedIn DC’s unique system makes in-person networking more efficient with “Social Ambassadors,” people who serve as hubs (or network nodes) for the greater network. These Social Ambassadors help attendees find the contacts they’re looking for at events, and are a steep evolution from neighborhood “busybodies” of yesteryear, especially with the entire Internet at their fingertips to bolster their personal connections. The organization has February events planned for Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
