Hello,
LinkedIn has some new developments in the LinkedIn End User License Agreement (EULA). Things that were common are now forbidden. Worse yet, very few people know about this and users are subject to having their account terminated.
You cannot have e-mail addresses, phone numbers, addresses or other "confidential" information in your profile.
Here's a good one "LinkedIn may terminate the Agreement for any or no cause, at any time, with or without notice, which shall be effective immediately or as may be specified in the notice."
Or, how about this "LinkedIn may limit the number of connections you may have to other users and prohibit you from contacting other users through use of the Services."
All of this is on top of LinkedIn now limiting the number of groups that ypou may belong to down to just 50. If there were not 100,000 groups that might be reasonable, but a search on the word "marketing" yields 3,020 results and there is no way to tell which are big ones or the small ones without opening each up individually.
Why are there so many? Because LinkedIn approved so many.
The EULA can be found on the bottom of each LinkedIn page under the text link “User Agreement”. Have a nice read for yourself and see how this smells to you.
