By now, most people in developed society have access to a computer, and many people use computers on a daily basis. Computers, however, change rapidly, and many do not keep up with recent developments. Still, it is hard to avoid hearing about Facebook. What is all the hype about?
Facebook is primarily intended to give people a platform to communicate, and the wide use of Facebook makes it a great way to keep in touch with people around the world. Many have reconnected after years or decades through Facebook, and it is a great way to stay in touch without having to place calls or send emails on a regular basis.
In addition, Facebook is also a great place to find informative or entertaining information. Almost all businesses, schools and nonprofit organizations have a Facebook presence, and it allows these entities to share information easily. By liking pages one is interested in, it is possible to stay updated without having to visit websites.
